The Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (A.R.T.), in partnership with the National Archives at New York City, announces the sixth annual K-12 Archives Education Institute (AEI). This event is part of New York Archives Week.

This program is intended to bring together 40 local K-12 teachers, archivists, librarians, and museum educators to discuss strategies for teaching with primary source materials on the topic of elections. The Institute is free, and a light breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants.

The Institute will be centered around ways to engage with archival primary sources through small group activities led by archivists and educators who regularly teach with primary source materials.

All press inquiries and other questions may be directed to: Kerri Anne Burke, President, A.R.T. President or Lindsay Anderberg, Director of the Outreach and Advocacy Committee, community@nycarchivists.org.

A.R.T. acknowledges the continued support of MetLife, a major sponsor of New York Archives Week.
