Join for a happy hour gathering at Giorno Poetry Systems in the East Village on Thursday, October 22nd from 5:30-7:30PM.
Giorno Poetry Systems manages the estate of John Giorno. 222 Bowery, "The Bunker," is the former home of William Burroughs and is the same building where John Giorno, Lynda Benglis, and Mark Rothko all lived at various points. In addition to supporting artist, poets, and musicians through grants and public programming, GPS maintains Giorno's extensive archive of the downtown New York poetry, art, performance, and music communities.
Giorno Poetry Systems is across the street from the New Museum, which is open until 9PM on Thursdays and admission is pay-what-you-wish from 7PM until close.
