Event attendees are invited to visit the Green-House at Green-Wood, the cemetery’s newly opened welcome and education center. Attendees will receive a tour of the archives from Green-Wood’s archivist, Lauryn Duncan. If this is one’s first time visiting Green-Wood, you are highly recommended to walk through the cemetery before or after the tour.
This is an in-person event limited to 20 A.R.T. Members & Non-Members. Registration is non-transferable. Please note that you MUST reserve a ticket in advance online in order to attend this event. In the occasion that the event is sold out, we highly recommend joining the waitlist. An ART staff member will reach out to you if a spot becomes available. Unless you've been given permission, please do not show up at the event without registering.
ABOUT
Since 1838, Green-Wood Cemetery ranks as one of the nation's most beautiful, historic and environmentally conscious cemeteries. An accredited arboretum and final resting place of many of New York’s most notable residents, Green-Wood’s archives are home to hundreds of works of art and thousands of records that document the vibrant lives of thousands of New Yorkers. Visit the cemetery that inspired Manhattan’s Central Park and learn about the permanent residents of one of the crown jewels of Brooklyn’s green spaces.

Accessibility Note:
While the cemetery will not officially be part of the tour, give yourself time (and good walking shoes) to enjoy some of the most beautiful walking trails in NYC!

To visit by subway, take the R train to the 25th Street station in Brooklyn. Walk east/uphill one block. Free parking is available within Green-Wood.
