Tools for Managing Digital Collections: Adobe Bridge & Photoshop

This workshop will focus on using Adobe Bridge and Photoshop for managing still image metadata and media in support of archival practice and online collection management with an emphasis on batch processing and automation. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to leverage, extract, add and edit embedded metadata and perform batch file processing for derivative creation using the combination of Adobe Bridge and Photoshop.

Speaker: Seth Anderson

Seth Anderson is a Consultant for digital preservation and collection assessment, specializing in business analysis and development of digital preservation practices. His past and ongoing projects include work with the American Museum of Natural History, Matador Records, Facing History and Ourselves, and Carnegie Hall. Seth has also been a guest instructor at NYU and METRO. He earned his MA in Moving Image Archiving & Preservation from NYU.
