Twentieth-century dance artists began to move in new and different ways in response to the knowledge and experience they gained from moving across geographic locations. On the final day of this exhibition, join Kathleen Leary, Arnhold Dance Education Coordinator of the Jerome Robbins Dance Division of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts for a tour of the exhibition Border Crossings: Exile and American Modern Dance 1900-1955 to discover how the crossing of borders contributed to the creation of a new American art form.

Please note that the gallery is ADA compliant, and verbal descriptions are available for those with visual impairment. The Library has the ability to have a closed captioner if they are given two weeks' notice (please send a request via email to programming@nycarchivists.org)

This is an in-person event limited to 30 people. Registration is non-transferable. Please note that you MUST reserve a ticket in advance online in order to attend this event.
