Come take a view of the pioneering Agency on child protection and children's rights located in New York City. The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children was incorporated in 1875 by the New York State Legislature. The Mary Ellen Wilson case served as the catalyst for child protection services.
During the virtual tour, a brief history of the Agency will be provided along with a viewing of significant artifacts held by the Agency Archives, including Mary Ellen's dress.
