Got buttons, flyers, or VHS tapes under your bed? Do photos from protests, panels, and Pride parades crowd your phone? Join us at the Archives Open House on Thursday, November 10th from 5:30-8PM for a workshop on how to care for your personal mementos and community histories, both digital and physical. Bring in up to 10 items from your collection to have them scanned; learn tips for caring for paper artifacts, images, and videos; and explore highlights from The Center Archive!
With general information about archiving as well as the opportunity for hands-on learning, this event is open to all. The Center is not looking for you to donate your materials with us, we are instead dedicated to giving you the tools to preserve and archive them yourself! There will also be a chance to talk with archives staff about research opportunities and explore items in The Center collection.
