St. Paul's Chapel 250th Anniversary Pre-Celebration Tour & Mini-Exhibit
Trinity Wall Street Archives
Come learn about the fascinating history of St. Paul’s Chapel, Manhattan’s oldest church building, in a pre-celebration event before the kickoff of the 250th year anniversary celebration. St. Paul’s Chapel has stood on Broadway at Fulton Street since 1766, when it was built as a chapel of ease for the Parish of Trinity Church. Still a vibrant part of Trinity Church Wall Street, St. Paul’s has witnessed much of New York’s history and hosted leaders from George Washington to Desmond Tutu. Trinity’s archivists will display a small number of historic artifacts, offer tours, and talk about the upcoming anniversary events.
