Archives Week 2015: Culture in Transit Open House

  • Thursday, October 15, 2015
  • 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • METRO Training Center 57 East 11th Street, 4th Floor New York, New York 10003 United State

Culture in Transit is a partnership between the Metropolitan New York Library Council, the Brooklyn Public Library and Queens Library to bring mobile scanning equipment to smaller libraries, archives, museums, and the communities they serve in the Metropolitan New York area. We are one of 22 projects to win the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation’s Knight News Challenge on Libraries.

The Culture in Transit Open House will be an informal session where the three Mobile Digitization Specialists will be on-hand to showcase our mobile scanning kits, talk about our activities to date and what we hope to achieve over the course of the project.

Please visit this site to RSVP.
