Open Call for the A.R.T. Mentorship Program

Wednesday, September 16, 2026 2:40 PM | Nicole Font (Administrator)

The Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York (A.R.T.) is excited to announce the relaunch of our 1-1 Mentorship Program. Applications are open for both mentor and mentee participation.

Mentors and mentees must be current A.R.T. members in good standing.

Preference will be given to applications received by Friday, October 2nd. However, we will continue to pair mentors and mentees on a rolling basis moving forward.

This program matches students, recent graduates, and emerging professionals with experienced archivists. Mentors will provide guidance on topics such as the job search, networking, publishing and presenting, general career advice, and any other professional concerns mentees may have.

Mentees and mentors are expected to meet roughly once a month, with a combination of virtual and in-person meetings as schedules allow. Mentors can be reimbursed for up to two in-person coffee dates per academic semester. Each 1-1 pairing is expected to commit for at least six months, with the option to be matched again after that time.
