Gagosian is looking for a current or recent library student with a background in archives and records management who has a demonstrated interest in contemporary art and curatorial history.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the organization and cataloging of the gallery’s archival collection. The project will involve the creation of records for non-book items.

Applicants should have some practical experience with the foundations of a special collections library; knowledge of archival practice and collections management, and familiarity with the handling of rare materials, is a plus. The intern will have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and will feel comfortable working semi-independently with library materials. Ability to work in a Windows environment and across a range of computer platforms is required. Knowledge of contemporary art history is desirable but not required.
