The Outreach Committee endeavors to connect ART with other local organizations and groups, promote the archives profession to new audiences, and advocate for the preservation and increased use of historical materials. The committee has implemented the K-12 Archives Education Institute, pairing professional archivists with Metropolitan New York educators to demonstrate how archival documents can be incorporated in class curriculum to achieve state mandated learning standards.
