The Winthrop
Group has an immediate opening for a qualified archivist to process
organizational records. Full-time through the end of January 2009. Possible
extension.
Position Description
Responsibilities include processing archival records, data entry and preparing a
Finding Aid. The archivist will work cooperatively with other members of
the Winthrop Group team and client staff, as required, to complete the work.
Qualifications
·
MLS or MA in history with archival
management certificate and/or experience
·
Experience processing a large collection
preferred
·
Minimum of two years of work in an
archival setting
·
Strong written and oral communication
skills
·
Mastery of archival processing standards
and procedures
·
Experience with Microsoft Access
required.
Compensation
Monthly rate will be competitive and based on experience and level of
qualification. Project status. No benefits.
