The Winthrop Group has an immediate opening for a qualified archivist to process
organizational records. Full-time through the end of January 2009. Possible
extension.
Responsibilities include processing archival records, data entry and preparing a
Finding Aid. The archivist will work cooperatively with other members of the
Winthrop Group team and client staff, as required, to complete the work.
Qualifications
MLS or MA in history with archival management
certificate and/or experience
Experience processing a large collection preferred
Minimum of two years of work in an archival setting
Strong written and oral communication skills
Mastery of archival processing standards and
procedures
Experience with Microsoft Access required.
Compensation
Monthly rate will be competitive and based on experience and level of qualification.
