New York Archives Week’s premier event is the A.R.T Awards Ceremony, the only awards program in the metropolitan New York area dedicated to honoring the work of archivists and recognizing those institutions and individuals who provide vital support to archival programs. This Awards Ceremony is crucial to our professional community, as these awards help strengthen relationships between New York City archivists and their supporters, and provide an opportunity for archivists from all over New York City to be acknowledged by their colleagues. In this spirit, A.R.T. is pleased to announce its 2013 award honorees:

Outstanding Support of Archives
New York Archives Conference
to be accepted by Geoffrey Williams

Innovative Use of Archives
Rhizome for ArtBase
to be accepted by Heather Corcoran and Ben Fino-Radin

Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (A.R.T.) will celebrate the 25th anniversary of New York Archives Week October 6-12, 2013. New York Archives Week events include lectures, repository tours, symposia and workshops, all free and open to the public. New York Archives Week is attended by hundreds of New York City residents and archival and information science professionals each year, and is A.R.T.’s primary outreach initiative.
